How To Stay Motivated

It’s not always easy to feel motivated and keep a forward momentum on your training and nutrition. Studies have shown that those who set their goals public are 10 times more likely to achieve that goal. I’m sure you’ve experienced a drop in self-motivation. So, here are a few key points to help you stay motivated and reach your goals.

Get Back On Track

Review your goals. Go back and look at the goals you initially set and make sure you are on track to meet them. This is a good way to assess where you are in achieving your goals and what you need to do to ensure you reach them. If you are on track with your goals, then even more motivation to continue what you are doing!

Track Your Progress

Keep a training journal or workout log, either on a paper or digital, where you record your workouts and results. This way, it will be easy to track your training progression and it will be motivating to look back in the log and see how much you’ve accomplished. Also, to see how you’re progressing every week will boost your will to continue to improve.

Team up

Working out with someone will increase the accountability and motivation of your training. The support of others in your training will make it more fun to go the gym and accomplish greatness together. Chances are also less that you will skip a workout because your training buddy counts on you. This goes both ways.

Keep things interesting

To keep a long term motivation you should switch your training up a bit. Divide your CrossFit training into different blocks and focus on different things to keep your training fun and varied. At last, to just go after the same training schedule every week will get boring and if you want to continue to improve you have to change things up from time to time. And because of the variety in CrossFit training, there is always something to practice on and get better at.
